Great Book

Tremendously scholarly work. He provides a great review of Old Testament Bible history for the Bible student. At the same time, he provides awesome exposure to Old Testament Bible history for the new Christian as well as others with less Bible knowledge.

Great use of biblical narratives and references. I appreciate his exposition of biblical passages. I liked his references to the Hebrew and Greek words. He did an awesome job explaining the culture and customs of the times.
He made it relatable and relevant with his modern-day applications. His study questions at the end of each chapter were very engaging and thought-provoking.
He gave some great practical advice for our lives today.
Some sections will be very timely for some readers, as they were for me.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading and reviewing this. Well done, Bruce!

Thank you, Edward! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the book!

Living with hope, love, and joy!

Excellent approachable study of “exiles” mentioned in the Bible to show us how Christ followers are exiles in our culture. And how Christ followers can overcome challenges and watch for opportunities to live for Christ with hope, love, and joy!
The end of chapter “God‘s truth for my life” reflection sections are useful for personal contemplation, as well as small group Bible study discussions.

Thank you, Carol! Yes - many of Time of Grace's books include study questiosn at the end of the chapter - thank you for your suggestion of how to use the book!
