Modern + American + Christian = Burnout?

You live in a culture perfectly designed to burn you out. Always online, always racing, always working. And as a Christian: always serving, always striving, always saying yes. Add to that the drive to find your value in pleasing others, and you’re on a collision course for disaster.

Where is the rest Jesus promised?

The answer is in the ancient rhythms of life with God as Jesus lived—rhythms you can follow too.

Complete with in-depth study questions and biblical guidance, this book invites you to evaluate your life to identify the habits, commitments, and attitudes that have you headed for burnout.

You’ll discover how to:
• Enjoy physical rest in changing seasons
• Experience spiritual rest in the grace of the gospel
• Preserve emotional rest in a demanding world

The Creator designed you to thrive in the natural rhythms of life that he established. So if you’re ready to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and experience a cycle of work and rest as he lived it, now’s your time!

Concise with Great Reflection

I appreciated that it was only three chapters addressing Physical, Spiritual, and Emotional burnout. He did not feel the need for excessive repetition or adding "fluff" like other self-development books I've read.

The attached questions and bible study for reflection were perfect for helping me dive deeper into what the content meant for me in my life and how God sees me and has designed rest for my life.

Thank you, Amy! We're glad the book has been a blessing to you and that you enjoyed the reflection questions at the end of the book.

Beyond Burnout - great for self examination

Beyond Burnout is great for Scripture based self examination, with the reminders of how God sees us. It gives us pause to think about who we are trying to please or impress with our busy-ness and reminds us what is most important in our lives.
