Por la Dra. Jennifer Londgren
Exhausto . . . fragmentado. . . difuso . . . agotado.
Christopher Becker has away to tie biblical truths with scripture to our human anxieties and worry to ultimately help us to release to God. This book was easy to read but most importantly to start applying into my everyday life! Thank you Christopher.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re grateful to hear that the message in Winning the Worry War helped connect God’s Word to the everyday struggles of anxiety and worry. It’s wonderful to know you’re finding practical ways to apply these truths in your daily life. May God continue to use this book to remind you to place your worries in his loving hands!
Shamefully, it has been many years since l read a book from beginning to end. I read these thoughtful words cover to cover in one afternoon, without a break.
I didn’t want to stop because anxiety and worry often consumes me.
Thank you, to Christopher Becker for sharing your worries with all of us!
I will return to it often. I highlighted sentences and made notes in the margins.
I’m not cured but l will continue to turn to his words and Biblical references for needed encouragement.
God’s blessings to you and everyone at Time of Grace.
Vickie, thank you so much for your thoughtful and encouraging review. We're grateful that *Winning the Worry War* was such a meaningful read for you. It takes courage to be honest about the struggle with anxiety, and we're thankful you found both encouragement and hope in Christopher Becker's words and, most importantly, in God's promises. We pray the Lord continues to strengthen your heart and give you his peace as you return to his Word again and again. Thank you for sharing your experience, and may God richly bless you as well!
This is a book I will read more than once. From the beginning the author is reminding you to start each day by always putting on the Full Armor of God (and don't ever forget that important armor). Always reminded that God is in control and He has plans for me and you. God knows what strength you and I have to get through all fears/trials each day. He is with you and me always. God's strength is unmatched and He has prepared a place for you and me. I don't usually bend pages in my books, but this book had so many important reminders of how to get through our worry/fear, that my book looks "dog ear'd" already. One of the best reads to overcome worry/fear I've had in a long time.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We're grateful to hear how much 'Winning the Worry War' encouraged you and pointed you back to God's promises. We love that it's already become a well-used, 'dog-eared' resource...That's a wonderful compliment! May God continue to strengthen your faith and give you his peace as you trust him each day. Thank you for sharing your encouragement with others!
A practical and encouraging book on dealing with worry. The author shares personal stories and points readers to God's truth and provision for perspective and peace. One key takeaway is that while we often want control, we are not qualified. God is in control because He is qualified, and His presence is enough. The discussion questions at the end of each chapter make it great for personal reflection or group study.
Thank you for your kind review! We are so glad the book encouraged you and helped point you to God's truth and peace. We appreciate you highlighting the reminder that God is in control and His presence is enough. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts!
